I stayed here about five years ago and had a wonderful time. So when I came back this year, even though I wasn’t staying in the hotel, I wanted to go to the sky bar. What they don’t tell you is that the sky bar is now a restaurant called. Scappi. Everyone is extremely nice and friendly. I ate here once for dinner and had pasta, which was very good. But one of the reasons that I wanted to come back was the memory of the insanely good cocktails that I had five years ago. That all seems to have completely changed. The view, especially at sunset, is incomparable. It really is magnificent. But the cocktails are overpriced, And they don’t have enough cocktail in them to make it worth anything near the prices that they charge. And I understand that we are in Turkey, which is not exactly the cocktail capital of the world, but they don’t really know how to make the drinks that they are trying to offer. My white Negroni and my standard martini were about half the size that they should be. All that to say, buyer beware. But you will definitely enjoy the view, and the super nice people. Downstairs, however, is a restaurant called the aquarium. They have a lovely outdoor setting in the grass, and the food, service, and cocktails there are absolutely magnificent and definitely worth a visit, even if it’s not the same kind of view because it’s on the ground floor. Definitely worth a visit.

Doesn't exists anymore . It is now Scappi. A Italian style fancy and expensive restaurant at the 7th floor of the Swiss hotel in Izmir. There is a nice heated and covered teras with a nice view

Having been located on rooftop, the bar lays the magnificent view of the bay and sea on your feet. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Obviously it is exorbitantly expensive, however definitely worth the price.

We went to sky bar my friend last week for some dinner with a view as we visited Izmir. Half way through out meal the manager “Dan/ Jan” approaches us to say that we are speaking loudly for his guest- which was a total lie as we barely spoke I just wanted to relax and enjoy the view as I had surgery a week prior. Now there was a rude guest that was Noticeably being rude and ordering the bar staff around loudly that was sat a few tables away when he heard we spoke English (not loudly at all) he stared at us Intentively for a good 10 mins making me and my friend uncomfortable, in fact he spoke loudly to the point where we could hear him from the outside smoking balcony. I would not recommend this bar as they clearly discriminate against ppl that not their own, i Particularly felt bad as I was the only black female and he projected more onto me than my friend (caucasian female) Don’t visit this bar they are out of touch and the food was mediocre.

The view is excellent, and the staff very attentive, but the place lacks an atmosphere. Maybe that's because we are in COVID times, but the music was too loud and it was empty. We'll give it another go when COVID has left us.
